Ridge, Anne Arundel, Maryland.

by deed 15 Jun 1733 conveyed to Charles Carroll his part [500 acres[ of tract
of 1,000 acres called John & Ann; also The Henry of 293 acres; also I mulatto
slave carpenter called Frank, age ca 25, Negro woman called Nelly his wife; Negro
man called Jack Bently, Negro woman Polly his wife and their 2 female children;
Bradford also on 29 Jul 1732 conveyed Strife of 500 acres; Plain Dealing of 300
acres; two parcels of Widow's Mite of 190 acres and 19 acres; also The Vineyard
containing 14 acres; The Discovery of 65 acres; 15 Oct 1733 several Negroes and
mulattos: Jack, his wife and 2 children called Sue and Betty; mulatto Tom and
Mulatto Jack (mortgaged to Daniel Dulany & Richard Snowden & released];

in 1664 Lord Baltimore granted Robert Brooke 1000 acres called Brooke Ridge;
Calvert Co. records: 30 Sep 1667 Robert Brooke assigned the tract to his brother
Charles Brooke and his heirs; who in 1671 bequeathed same to his sisters Ann
& Elizabeth Brooke; Ann m. Christopher Beanes and Elizabeth m. Richard Smith
and had several children b. in wedlock; Christopher Beanes & Ann his wife
by indenture 16 Aug 1684 in Calvert Co. conveyed their moiety, bounded by Mt.
Calvert Manor, to Richard Smith; his eldest son, Richard Smith, on 5 Sep 1716
conveyed to Charles Carroll; sd. land was vested in Charles Carroll, physician,
heir of afsd. Charles Carroll; Joshua Cecil possessed land called Craycrofts
Right by indenture dated 17 Sep 1713 in the mortgaged land records of Charles
Co.; his heir Isaac Cecil released mortgage to Charles Carroll on 16 Oct 1722;
will of' Charles Carroll, Esq. and Daniel Carroll his brother right to sell land;
