Nancy E. CURRENT and Daniel BIRD were married on 14 Aug 1894.²⁷⁷ Daniel BIRD (son of Joseph BIRD and Rachel YOUNG) was born on 8 May 1831 in Sussex, New Jersey. He was a blacksmith. He was with Company K, 21st Regiment, Indiana Volunteer Infantry in Sep 1864. He was given an honorable discharge on 22 May 1865. He was a victim of a 'runaway accident' causing serious facial scars on 16 May 1877. He died on 22 Jan 1904 in RedKey, Jay, Indiana. He was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey, Jay, Indiana.
