38. Jacob Joseph (Jack) CURRENT^1,2,58 was born on 3 Feb 1803 in Crowland Twp., Niagara District, Upper Canada.² He died on 4 Dec 1872 in Crowland Twp., Niagara District, Upper Canada.² He was buried at Doan's Ridge Cemetery, Crowland, Welland, Ontario, Canada.²

Some give his birth as Feb. 7th.

In the Niagara 1818 Post war of discontent there was a Jacob Current.

In the 1857 provincial directory, a Jacob Current appears as a "councillor" in Crowlandville, Welland County,

In 1865 Jacob was living in Crowland on Concession 7, lot 4.

Obit in the 18 Dec 1872 Ontario Register that says he died on the 4th instant, at his residence, and calls him Jacob Current, Esq., J.P. He was 69 y 9 m 29 days old and was a native of the township where he lived, Crowland.

Died-- Current.-- Died at his residence in Crowland on the 4th inst., after a short illness, Jacob Current, Esq., J.P., aged 69 years, nine months and twenty-nine days. Deceased was a native of the township in which he lived. He was a kind husband, a good father, and as a neighbor, was generally respected.

Jacob Joseph (Jack) CURRENT and Ann CLOTHIER were married on 16 Aug 1873.^1,2 Ann CLOTHIER^1,2 (daughter of Andrew CLOTHIER) was born about 1836.² Jacob Joseph (Jack) CURRENT and Ann CLOTHIER had the following children:
