From the Horse’s Mouth

Nov. 14th is also election night. All members should attend and vote, or request a numbered ballot prior to the meeting.

On Sat. Nov. 16th at 10 a.m. is the 4th Annual Kids Rodeo!!! This event is hosted by the club as a community service to our area youth - those that may not otherwise be able to enjoy the animals we love and deal with every day. It does not require a horse, the only horse they will need is a stick horse, and we supply those. They are hand made by Bill & Judy Brieling, and hand painted by caring members. There will be the same age divisions as last time, 6 yrs & under, 7 thru 9 yrs, 10 thru 12 yrs., and 13 thru 15 yrs. There will be four events available to each age group. It will require a $5.00 grounds and insurance fee per each cowpoke, and each event will cost $5.00. This is $25.00 for a full day. No price increase around here!! We will also have our FREE games again such as Tug-o-War, & Sack Race! There will be concession on the grounds, chances at a raffle, real live cowboys, and bullfighters, too. Our directors meeting on October 18th went very well. The end of the year awards dinner is set for Sat. Dec. 14th. We will start the afternoon with Trail Boss Monica taking us on a ride heading out at HIGH NOON, and returning about 2 p.m. We need members to bring “one of them there special” covered dish items that we all LOVE so much!! We will be ordering meat from Sonny’s BBQ!! And stocking the drink coolers!!! Bring a chair, and a smile, and maybe a good ole’ story or two about the good ol’ days. (Roy are ya’ hearin’ me??) I look forward to seeing all of you, as this will be the end of my term as President...time to pass the torch, and hit the trails!!! I have enjoyed working with everyone, and will continue to work on the arena plans for the future of our club!!

At this time the arena fencing has been put on hold until the FCT gives a response to the City concerning the concession matter. We will move on with plans as seen fit by the club and the City as soon as a response has been received.

Thank you all so much. I can now take some much needed time for myself, Tammy & Iysiss so we can go riding. We may even show a time or two!! I know we will all be in good hands with our next board of directors!!!!
