The Fall season is upon us!  Now if it would just get cooler!!!  We held our regular meeting on the 12th.  Things are going well, but we are still looking for people to run for next years directors positions!!  If you would like to run, please contact Lynn, Melanie, or Briley to let us know!!

Our Sept 7th Barrel show went off good, and the BIG news is the Sept. 15th Pleasure show was HUGE!!!!!  We had
a large number of riders and the show ended about 5:30pm.  A Big Thank You to all the volunteers that kept the show going!!  Which brings me to some information I would like to share with our riders.  This show had some lag time due to riders that were not quite aware of how a show is done.  It is the responsibility of the “Rider” to read the riding rules, to know what class they are in, to know the pattern(if there is one), to listen & be in the arena when the class is called(or you could lose your class).  If you sign your paperwork, and don’t read it, you can only blame yourself.  Also, you may ONLY enter ONE HIGH POINT Division, same horse and rider, you may ride in other classes, but it WILL NOT count for High Point!  The Judges decision is final, they are trained to do so.  We ask our Judges to please help our riders by talking to them after the class to give pointers, they are not trying to pick on anyone!!  So.. trainers with new students should make sure that they let their riders know before they show that there is more to showing then just the riding, and this will help them excel in the future!!

We want Everyone to have Fun showing, after all we are already pretty nervous before a show as it is, I know this for a fact!!!  If you would like a class to help you be ready for a show, let me know, and we would be glad to help anyone, we want you to be a SUCCESS!!

Thanks again to everyone for coming, and helping, don’t forget we need DONATIONS for the 4th Annual Kids Rodeo, Nov. 16th, please contact me!!!  We will be moving to our new arena site in Jan & Feb 2003, so be ready, we will need all the help we can get.  The City approved the application to file for the $50,000.00 grant for the Equestrian/Multi Purpose Park, but it will take about a year to receive the monies, if we get it!!  Wish us Luck!!

HAPPY TRAILS &
MAY THE HORSE BE WITH YOU!
