“THE PUMPKINS ARE A-COMING!” |
Lake Helen, FL -- Lake Helen United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Lakeview
and W. Delaware Avenue, will once again be hosting its popular Pumpkin Patch
& Harvest Festival during the month of October. The pumpkins will arrive
around 8:00 am on Saturday, October 1st and community volunteers are needed
to assist with unloading and setting up the patch. The popular fundraiser will be open from 12 noon to 7 pm Sunday through Friday and 9 am to 7 pm on Saturdays until October 31st. Volunteers to handle sales and meet/greet the public in two-hour shifts also are needed. Toddler through elementary school-age children are welcome to come to the Pumpkin Patch where they can purchase small pumpkins for painting/decorating. Special areas will be available for great photo opportunities! To volunteer or to schedule groups of ten children or more, call (386) 747-9843. |
On Saturday, October 22nd, the church will hold its annual Harvest Festival from
10 am to 2 pm. Food and beverages will be on sale, as well as a Bake Sale
and Silent Auction. Free games for children include a Bounce House, bean
bag toss, a duck hunt, water gun target-shooting, face painting, helium-filled
balloons, bottle toss and more. Families are most welcome! |
