Market in the Park - Lake Helen, FL

Days of Operation:

Market in the Park is held every Saturday morning from 7am-12pm, excluding holidays, inclement weather, emergency situations, and during special events as deemed necessary by the City Commission.

Spaces and Charges:

Vendors are charged $8.00 per each 15'x15' space. Spaces will be assigned by the Market Coordinator. Vendors may NOT offer items for sale or pass out promotional materials outside of their vending area. No promotional materials may be passed out in the park during the Market.

Setup Time:

Vendors may arrive for setup at 6:00 am and will be required to be out of the park by 2:00 pm. Vending will cease at 12:00 pm.

Vendors' Vehicles:

Vendors may have one average sized pickup truck or automobile parked just behind their assigned space. Vendors' vehicles may not infringe on the space or spaces of other vendors. Vendors with large vehicles or trailers may be required to purchase additional spaces as deemed necessary by the Market Coordinator.

Tents and Temporary Structures:

Tents and temporary structures MUST be adequately secured in order to prevent them from causing injury to individuals and/or damage other property.

Licenses, Permits, Taxes, Insurance:

The vendor is responsible for maintaining their own required licenses, permits, taxes, and insurance.

Debris Removal / Damage to Facilities and Grounds:

Vendors are responsible for removing any and all debris from the park and surrounding area that is created by their operation. Any damage caused by the vendor or individuals employed by the vendor will be the responsibility of the vendor.

Items Offered / Refusal of Service:

THE CITY OF LAKE HELEN WILL PROVIDE THE SOLE SOURCE OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDING. (EXCLUDING VEGETABLE VENDORS, CAN GOODS VENDORS, AND PREPACKAGED NUT AND CANDY VENDORS.) NO PROFANE OR OBSCENE MATERIALS MAY BE OFFERED, OR DISPLAYED. NO ILLEGAL GOODS, WEAPONS OR FIREWORKS MAY BE SOLD, OFFERED, OR DISPLAYED. THE MARKET COORDINATOR MAINTAINS THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY VENDOR FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS. THE EVENT COORDINATOR MAINTAINS THE RIGHT TO EJECT OR REFUSE ANY VENDOR THAT DISRUPTS THE MARKET.

Liability:

The City of Lake Helen shall not be held liable for property that is lost, stolen, or damaged or for individuals who are injured on the property during the Market in the Park.
