Home Tour Makes Donation

The Lake Helen Library recently accepted the donation of a new collaspable stage from the steering committee of the 2001 Christmas Home Tour. It has arrived in time to be used for the summer children�s programs as well as programs all year round.

The tour also presented two plaques of appreciation - one was presented to Max and Dorothy Schneider for their years of dedicated involvement in making the tour the success it is today, and for promoting Lake Helen as a viable community. The second plaque was presented to Mary Heebner for her special contribution of line drawings of Lake Helen�s historic homes. Depicted on the tour tickets and walking map plus permanently displayed in Hopkins Hall.

The tour committee is presently working on identifying city beautification projects to which the remainder of the tour proceeds will be donated. More information will follow.
