Put Your Spin on a Haunted Halloween Walk |
Love that bump in the night and the spooky sounds that the end of October brings
in? The beginning of the three months of our fall and winter holidays will soon
be here. There are so many opportunities to have fun. Have you ever wanted to
design stage sets, or act in a play, or spend the evening working for a non-profit
helping people have fun? Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp will once again host a Halloween Haunted Walk on Friday and Saturday, October 29 and 30 this year. The Camp has 57 acres, of which are small portion are used for the walk. This is the major fundraiser of the Spiritualist Camp. The ticket sales are used to pay the ever increasing costs of property taxes and |

insurance. Generous amounts are also donated to those in need. Originally, the Camp was prey to those who came from “outside” the Camp on Halloween. Because of the member’s religious beliefs, some people thought there was “evil” happenings and cars of thrill seekers would drive into Camp and cause havoc during the autumn season. Today most persons are more enlightened and know that the members of this religious community are caring people who spend much of their time in service to others doing hands on healing, helping those who are troubled by the loss of loved ones, and counseling those in search of a spiritual path. |
