The Christmas Holiday Season is fast approaching. I am inviting all of you to join
in with the staff from City Hall, the members of the Lake Helen Police Department
Teen Program, and your local police officers to help provide our local families
who have been affected by the economic slow down and the elderly who are
on low fixed incomes with the best Christmas possible. We will start collecting
non-perishable food items, new items that can be utilized as gifts for children,
gift baskets for the elderly, and cash donations on December 2, 2002. |
All donations can be brought to City Hall during normal business hours. I would also
like to invite all of our local Churches and other community minded organizations
to join us in this endeavor. Donations will be accepted up until December
20, 2002. If you are aware of any families or elderly members of our community who are in need of assistance this Christmas Season, please call Wendie Levings at City Hall and proved her with the pertinent information. We will do our best to help all of those who are in need. |

We will hold a Christmas gift wrapping and food distribution preparation party at
City Hall on December 22, 2002 at 6:00 PM. Cash donations will be turned into
grocery store and/or department store girl certificates and will be distributed
on December 23, 2002. If you have any questions or you wish to volunteer as one of Santa’s helpers, please call me at 386-228-2145. |
