Fred Tessier Passes
 
 
LAKE HELEN, Fla. — Frederic “Bicki” Tessier Jr., 72, of Lake Helen, and formerly of Athol, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Florida Hospital, Orlando, Fla. He was formerly of 166 Wallingford Ave., Athol. Bicki was born in Gardner, Mass., Sept. 11, 1937, the son of the late Frederic and Alfreda (Ross) Tessier. He graduated from Athol High School in 1955 and attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester.

In 1958, he moved to Orlando, where he worked for Martin Marietta for several years, and then moved to St. Louis, Mo., where he worked for Emerson Electronics. Following his return to Orlando, he worked for Litton Industries.

After retiring in 2002, he moved to Lake Helen, where he provided volunteer services to the city, including coordinating the design and building of a community equestrian center.

Bicki is survived by his wife Greta (Ford) Tessier; three daughters, Diane and her husband Gil Caldwell of Texas, Beth and her husband Jim Smith of Tennessee, and Lisa and her husband John Bryant of Lake Helen; one son, Robert Tessier of Orlando; two sisters, Lucille (Tessier) Chagnon of Chincoteague Island, Va., and Claudia Tessier of Boston, Mass.; and nine grandchildren, including Nicole Tessier, Brandon Tessier, Ryan Tessier, Christine Caldwell, Kelli Caldwell, Preston Smith, Nathan Smith, Baeddan Bryant and Ronin Bryant.
